A few years back there was a rule change in Dakar allowing them to run a 17″ wheel. As a result, Method took this opportunity and worked closely with several Dakar teams to develop the MRW 207. The wheel had to be light, strong, accommodate a massive brake package, tuck the valve stem in a spot so that it was protected from rocks and debris. In short, the result of all these requirements drove the production of one of the best purpose-built off-road racing wheels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe stumbled upon this wheel in 2024 during a conversation with Method’s lead engineer. We needed something better, something with more positive offset, something where the valve stem was very protected.
