Casey Currie Wins at the NORRA 500 on 74Weld Bolt-On Portals

A NORRA 500 Class Win on the Same Portals Available for Your Rig

Casey Currie took a first-in-class finish at the NORRA 500 in “Striker,” his 700 HP Hellcat-powered Jeep running 74Weld portals.

That’s a win worth celebrating. But for anyone considering portals for their own build, the hardware underneath Striker is the part of the story that matters most.

Casey raced on our standard Gen 2 bolt-on portals—the same exact portal boxes he runs on his Gladiator, and the same ones available for your Toyota, Ford, or Jeep.

Same Portal Boxes. Different Builds.

Our Gen 2 portal boxes are universal, and our uprights are modular. The uprights adapt the portal boxes to the application, allowing us to use the same boxes across different vehicle platforms.

When we build a run of portal boxes, what they go on comes down to what you order.

That could be a Toyota Tacoma. A Gladiator with the Currie Enterprises x 74Weld 44/60 axle package. Or a Hellcat-powered Jeep heading into the desert to race the NORRA 500.

The vehicle changes. The portal box is the same.

From Your Build to the Racecourse

Most of our race wins come on our dedicated Race Portals. Those are an important part of our racing and R&D program, but Striker’s class win tells another side of the story: people are also competing—and winning—on our consumer bolt-on portals.

For customers, that makes this result especially relevant. The Gen 2 portal boxes under Casey’s race Jeep are the same hardware available for the rig in your driveway.

Congratulations to Casey and the entire crew on a first-in-class finish at the NORRA 500. We’re proud to be part of the build.
